Process Design & Facilitation

I design and facilitate small- and large-group meetings and events that are content-rich and outcome-focused. I balance high levels of interaction and exploration with time for conceptual integration and personal reflection.

Types of meetings and events that I facilitate include off-sites, special team and leadership meetings, conferences, professional or community gatherings, honoring and renewal events, and more.

An event that is impactful, memorable or renewing requires design and facilitation that is unique to the purpose of the event and the people who will attend it. I blend the following, with sensitivity to context:

  • Action learning
  • Dialogue
  • Theory of Process
  • Visual facilitation
  • Circle work
  • Organization and community rituals
  • Community development
  • Group dynamics
  • Learning styles
  • Large group meeting methodologies (Whole Scale & Real Time Strategic Change, Future Search, Open Space and World Café, and hybrids)

I have a particular passion for creating designs that enable participants both to do their work and to move fluidly from one activity to the next. In my facilitation approach, I am attuned to the needs of individuals, the dynamics of the group, the arc and pacing of the overall group experience, and the change that may result. As a facilitator, I creatively support exploring possibilities and using catalytic thinking to address challenging issues. I have a knack for guiding critical moments as well as perceiving and weaving together emergent insights. When desirable, I am open to sharing relevant content expertise to support a group to move through challenging topics.
